FTTH Council Conference 2013

TTH Conference Maropeng Banner

The objective of this year’s Conference is to provide a forum where representatives from all spheres of industry can meet and discuss the most recent advances in the industry, but also consider the future and effective preparation.

The theme of the 2013 Conference is “The Future is in our hands” and we believe that the setting in the Cradle of Humankind provides a perfect platform to reflect, but more than that, to consider the future from a multi-faceted lens.

We look forward to bringing to you the next generation of broadband users and to learn from them how to provision for their future needs. We look to a generation that only knows an ‘always on, always available’ world. This age group of users will allow us to take a peek at life as they know it, but more than that, the future they expect us to enable on their behalf.

The new world of fibre optics has proven to be an exciting industry and we’ll continue to support it through forums like this, to ensure our continent remains at the cutting edge. Along with our program you will have opportunities to meet other stakeholders and share and discuss your thoughts and philosophies about the future of fibre optics in Africa. We invite you to actively participate in all the panel discussions and presentations.

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the 2013 Conference of the FTTH Council Africa.

FTTH Asia Pacific Conference & Exhibition 2013

Welcome to all attendees of this year’s 2013 Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Council Asia Pacific Conference to be held in Auckland, New Zealand from May 19th to 21st, 2013.

The workshops will cover professional development, technical project management and independent contracting. The conference will conclude with a technical site tour to allow delegates to visit an actual FTTH deployment in New Zealand. With the New Zealand government contributing $1.35 billion to accelerate the take-up of ultra-fast broadband across the country, as well as significant amounts of private coinvestment by the government’s partners, it is a huge undertaking and one that is of great significance to the industry globally. Indeed, regionally, the value of the overall investment in broadband is over $40 billion.

This conference will include a comprehensive range of topics presented by distinguished presenters from many different institutions and organizations from across the globe. This brings a plurality of interests and perspectives to a single location. I hope you will take advantage of this opportunity and participate in the conference sharing with us through presentations, discussion and interaction, the development of new ideas and new directions for FTTH.
